What types of private events can be hosted at the Carriage House?

The F.M. Kirby Carriage House hosts bridal showers, baby showers, rehearsal dinners, graduation parties, milestone birthdays, anniversaries, corporate events, networking receptions, holiday parties, and more.

Is the Carriage House available for corporate events?

Yes. The venue is ideal for corporate dinners, executive meetings, client entertainment, networking events, and company holiday parties.

Does the Carriage House offer private dining packages?

Yes. Customized food and beverage packages are available based on the size and style of your event.

Where is the F.M. Kirby Carriage House located?

The Carriage House is located on the campus of Paper Mill Playhouse in Millburn, New Jersey.

Can guests attend a private event without seeing a show?

Yes. Private events at the Carriage House can be booked independently of theater performances.

Is there parking available?

Yes. Ample parking is available when the theater is dark. On Paper Mill Playhouse performance days, parking is paid ($12) and limited, but a free shuttle is available from Millburn town lots 2 and 7.

What are the restaurant hours and dining options?

Standard Restaurant Hours (all non-performance weeks)
• Wednesday – Thursday: 4:00 PM – 10:00 PM
• Friday – Saturday: 4:00 PM – 11:00 PM
• Sunday: 11:00 AM – 8:00 PM

Paper Mill Playhouse Pre-Theatre Dining
• Dinner Wednesday – Saturday: 4PM – 6PM (7:30PM curtain)
• Sunday: 4PM – 5:30PM (7PM curtain)
• Lunch Thursday, Saturday and Sunday: 11AM – 12:15PM

Please Note: Guests dining with us during Main Stage performances outside pre-theater service hours will enjoy ordering from our standard à la carte menu.

Late-Night & Intermission Dining (Thursday – Saturday)
• During the Show: Our à la carte menu remains available from the end of the prix fixe window until intermission.
• Intermission: Stop by for a quick, refreshing to-go cocktail.
• Post-Show Late Night: Join us after the curtain falls for late-night bites and craft cocktails until 11PM.

Are show tickets required to make a reservation?

You do not need tickets to Paper Mill Playhouse to dine at the Carriage House. Whether you are joining us for a spectacular pre-theatre dinner, dropping by for a post-show cocktail, or enjoying a la carte dining, we look forward to hosting you. Visit restaurant hours for more details.

Do you accept Walk-Ins & Bar Seating?

No reservation? No problem. We offer our full à la carte menu at our bars, high-top seating, and the Davis Loft. These areas do not require reservations and are available strictly on a first-come, first-served basis.

How do you make reservations?

Reservations can be booked directly online via Resy. Large parties are highly encouraged to book well in advance.

Please Note: Planning ahead is strongly recommended, as local parking can become scarce immediately before showtimes!
